The client is a multinational industrial company headquartered in the United States.
Project background:
Mr. Wang was promoted to China CEO of client recently and the president of the Asia Pacific region felt that he needed coaching on his leadership style. Mr. Wang joined the company right after his Ph.D graduation in the United States. After returning to China more than a decade ago, he was gradually given more and more management responsibilities and has shown great dedication and results. However, his rigorous and execution style has caused some interpersonal conflicts. As their company has merged with another big company in recent years, his management scope has become bigger and more complex.
Solution:
The executive coach of Leader’s Gene provided Mr. Wang with a 10-month coaching. The executive coach first conducted a 360-degree survey of Mr. Wang to understand the feedback from the company's leaders, colleagues and team members. In the monthly coaching session, the coach shared with him the leadership essentials in the transformation environment, and at the same time, considering his own professional experience and intrinsic motivation, guided him to improve his leadership style.
